7 years ago, we started hosting small gatherings called Dinner & Discussion — spaces where people could talk about the things that divide us and still walk away connected.

In the height of nationwide political wars. we wanted to do something that would interrupt the noise. So we began inviting diverse strangers to dinner. “Bring a dish, bring an anonymous question, let’s talk,” we told them. “Let’s have Dinner and Discussion.”

 

What began as a social experiment evolved into a restorative model—where tension and miscommunication gave way to productive dialogue and mutual respect.
